Harley's Hotel : mid-range/high-end
Next door to Mangroves. Brand New (2005). Air-con rooms. Friendly staff (mostly ex-Mangroves). Nice menu. Draft San Miguel Beer and Gin Juice. Large screen TV in bar. Seaview terrace. View towards Barrio Barretto Beach. No beach here.

Mangroves Hotel : mid-range/high-end
Tel: (63 47) 222 7909 : Good clean rooms with air-con. Friendly staff. Nice small menu. Excellent Draft San Miguel Beer and Gin Juice. TV's in bar for watching sports. Seaview terrace. View towards Barrio Barretto Beach. Small bar-side pool. No beach here. One of my personal favorites.

Sheavens Hotel : mid-range/high-end
Next door to Mangroves. Good clean rooms with air-con. Nice small menu. Seaview terrace. View towards Barrio Barretto Beach. No beach here.

Seascape Cottages : mid-range
Tel: (63-47) 224-6928 : Next door to Sheavens. 5 big self-catering rooms. Seaview terrace. View towards Barrio Barretto Beach. Usually only available by the month. No beach here.

Blue Rock Hotel : mid-range/high-end
Tel: (63 47) 224 9042 : Fax: (63 47) 222 7910 : Situated on the nearest part of Baloy Beach proper, where the road takes a right turn. Has everything you need, room air-con, pool, good food, 2 bars, beach, diving, and more. Aussie run. Popular place.

Venneberger's Inn : budget
Has open air rooftop for catching the breeze/view of bay. Some Swedish dishes on menu.

Treasure Island Resort : mid-range
Situated right on the beach. View to Grandee Island. Treasure Island has 14 rooms, a modern and deluxe pool with Jacuzzi, the Buccaneer swim up bar, Dryden's restaurant. Cable tv, air conditioning and fans, electronic safes, queen size beds, refrigerators with minibar and free broadband WiFi accessable in each room.

Kokomo's : mid-range
Situated right on the beach. View to Grandee Island. Kokomo's is a 12 room hotel with 10 theme rooms; Jungle, Music, Wild West, Egyptian, Banaue, Love, Pirate, Cave, Oriental and Hollywood and 2 two bedroom bungalow family rooms. Cable tv, air conditioning and fans, electronic safes, queen size beds, refrigerators with minibar and free broadband WiFi accessable in each room.

Johan's Dive Center : budget/mid-range
On the Beach. View to Grandee Island. Diving (of course). Good large international menu.

Lagoon : budget/mid-range
Tel: (63 47) 224 9199 : Fax: (63 47) 223 9389 : Directly opposite from Johan's Dive Center. Smallish rooms with fan/air-con.

Sea Pearl : budget
Basically a restaurant with a small menu and a good reputation. German run. Has a few fan rooms upstairs. On beach with view to Grandee Island. Happy hour 4-6pm on local beer and spirits. Buy 1st and get 2nd drink free. 3rd drink and above P5 discount.

Gold Coast : budget
Basic fan rooms. On beach with view to Grandee Island.

Getaway : budget
Nice Aussie family run bar. Friendly. Good food. Good clean rooms. On beach with view to Grandee Island. Popular.

George Mac : budget
Tel: (63) 0920 287 6101 . George has built and manages several 1-room self-catering off-beach apartments/bungalows. You can usually find, or enquire after, him in Getaway.

Kinky's
The famous Kinky's. Few dancers, mostly GROs. Blow jobs. Many bakalas. Pool table. Dingy. You have to watch out in this bar. If you are the only foreigner in the bar and drinking spirits they are quite likely drug your drink and rob you. Happens often. Best to never go in there alone.
